Groove the Academy has been in business for over 16 years with Allie Short as the Artistic Director/Owner and Kim Boulton as the Operational Director/Owner.
Groove has an amazing staff whose teachers are dedicated to not only inspiring incredible dancers but also developing strong and confident students outside of the studio. Our students are welcomed into a safe and happy environment where everyone is encouraged to share talents, enhance skills, and develop friendships. We set class goals and individual student goals as well as encourage practicing outside of class. We focus on our core values throughout the year to help our students rise to their potential and more importantly to know that we believe they can reach that potential.
We offer all styles of dance for our recreational and award-winning competition programs including Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Tumbling, and Tot Combos, just to name a few. Our classical ballet program offers classes that are incorporated into our recreational and competitions programs but also does a full ballet performance each year for those dancers wanting to only focus on ballet.
